“Prosecutor, I’ve always found that to be more of a challenge than defense and I didn’t think I suited for it either.” He shrugged before taking a sip of his drink.
Leon looked down at Snowdrop, “…I have no idea as to why she would like me but I…
“Oh yeah! She likes to be petted. Don’t be shy, Leon, she’s not going to bite…”, she said as she smiled.
She looked down and thought of all the troubles she went through as a little girl in her time. Since the last time she was in court, she still remembers everything like it was fresh in her memory.
“… Very bad people, I guess. The ones who ruined… everything.”, Aly sighed as she looked down in her mug, her smile faded to a frown.
“Okay, good.” He leaned over, petting her and messing around with her ears for a bit before sitting up straight again.
He was told that he was the perceptive type and it wasn’t hard to notice that her mood changed. He wasn’t sure if he should have pried but he asked anyway, “…something wrong?”“Mm? Oh… um, nothing. Nothing’s wrong, really. It’s just that, um… It’s a pretty long story. I-I don’t think that you wanna hear it.”, she answered to him as she sipped her drink.
Thunder crashed as she jumped a little, spilling some of her tea on the floor.
“Crap, I spilled some while that thunder came!”, she chuckled, her heart skipped a beat. Aly stood up and went to the counter, got the rag and went back to the table to clean the floor.
“Sorry about that, Leon! I’ll go clean up the floor.”“Well, you seemed off and I thought I’d help out somehow if you wanted. You don’t have do, I just figured I’d ask.” He said, tapping his fingers against the mug.
When the thunder roared, he looked over to the window, unfazed. He had a strange fascination with storms in general, it wasn’t uncommon for him to do this. After seeing her cup fall over a bit, he got down to pick it up while she went to clean the mess, “It’s fine, don’t worry about it.”
“Well, I can be a little clumsy sometimes.”, she laughed a bit, cleaned the floor with the rag and got the mug from Leon.
“Thanks… At least, you know, you didn’t get scared by the thunder outside. It’s a good thing, Leon. I wished I had that kind of bravery.”
Aly stood up and went to the counter, placing the rag back where it came from. She looked at him and smiled, going back to him.
“So, Leon, got into any relationships lately?”
